Thoughts on the Fujifilm X-H1 by Wayne Robertson

Street photographer Wayne Robertson is currently working his way through the Fujifilm X-Series line-up. The first camera he is checking out is the X-H1. Here are his thoughts so far.

As a street and documentary photographer, I’m always on the go, shooting in environments that require quick action and have limited time windows to get the right shots. For this reason, I really enjoyed the in-body stabilization on the Fujifilm X-H1.

The body is a bit big for my liking, but the camera is really light, even with the 18-55mm lens attached, which makes it great for lugging around town. The small LCD screen on the top of the camera is a brilliant feature because it allows me to check all my settings in once place when I’m in a hurry. The film simulations on this device were also fun to play around with, and I liked the effect they had on some of my JPG images.

I’m new to all the manual knobs but presented an engaging and interactive experience as it gave me more control when adjusting things like ISO and shutter speed on the unit. All in all, the Fujifilm X-H1 offers many great features for creators who are constantly moving and want a camera who can keep up with their lifestyle.
