Features

What it does, and why that matters

Portability — 01

A wide-angle that disappears in a bag

At around 155g this is one of the lightest lenses in the XF wide-angle line-up, small enough to keep mounted as a walk-around option without adding real weight to the kit.

24mm equivalent field of view, 83.2° angle of view
10 elements in 8 groups, including 2 aspherical elements
Approximately 155g

Autofocus — 02

Stepping motor, quiet inner focus

An inner-focus design driven by a stepping motor keeps focus fast and near-silent, which matters as much for video as it does for candid street and travel work.

Stepping motor (inner focus) autofocus drive
Minimum focus distance 0.17m to infinity
Maximum magnification 0.13x

Handling — 03

Weather-sealed, aperture ring included

Sealed at multiple points around the barrel and rated for use down to -10°C, with a clickable aperture ring for direct manual control — sturdier than its size suggests.

Weather- and dust-resistant (WR) construction
9 rounded diaphragm blades
ø60.0mm × 45.4mm (approx., diameter × length)
