LYNELLE PIENAAR – Who am I?
I am a wedding and portrait photographer based in the beautiful Garden Route in the Western Cape of South Africa. I love to capture the special moments in people’s life from all over the world.
We moved to the Western Cape in 2006, giving me the opportunity to be a stay-at-home mom after a career in Chemical Pathology. I soon realised I needed something for myself, besides caring for my kids! It all started in 2008 when hubby bought me my first camera, I absolutely fell in love with it. I started attending courses and enrolled for a photography diploma course, obtaining my diploma in 2012. I soon outgrew my entry level camera and got some professional gear, worth every penny! I believe that one never stop growing and learning in photography. There is always new techniques to learn and strive to master.
I share a professionally equipped studio with two other professional photographers. This gives the freedom to offer my clients both natural light and studio sessions.
My photography style is simple and clean; I like a clutter free image, holding the belief that “less is more”. Capturing those natural, unguarded moments make me super happy. I feel privileged that people share their special moments with me, capturing those moments for them to treasure.
I fell in love, got engaged, felt the rush of planning my wedding and the special moment of going into a lifelong partnership with my husband. I have four gorgeous kids, I know the absolute treasure of carrying a little life inside and holding a new born in your arms and all that follows…
These are all memories I treasure and know how important it is to capture them! I thank my Creator for this exciting and fulfilling part of my life.
My business has grown to a point where I now decided to rather focus on quality and not quantity, upping my fees to ensure I get clients who book me for my work and not for my price. I love what I do, but I believe it is important to have a balanced and healthy life.
