X-Photographer – Mardee Maree – My Favourite Shooting Conditions
Golden hour has always been a firm favourite amongst photographers, but placing the sun behind the subject generally opens up a wonderful world of golden hues and contrast yielding images.
The trick here is position – having the sun directly behind the model, either loses detail through under exposure, or whitens out the background for a more styled image – one can then add extra light through use of reflectors or fill flash to expose both the background and model beautifully.
