Stories make me happy
I’ve always been drawn to stories. Alice in wonderland has always been a favourite of mine. I used to curl with the book under the covers for many a night as a little girl. In 2002 I received my first camera as a gift and was drawn to the idea that I could continue creating and capturing visual stories through the looking glass of my camera.
Photographs tell our stories, capture new moments, special moments and they make us think back and relive the specific chapters we wrote in the story of our lives.
I took a couple of photography courses and completed a graphic design and photography diploma at Vega School. It was only in 2010 that I started shooting professionally.
Devon Lester introduced me to Fujifilm in late 2016 during a photoshoot with one of my friends who was moving to Australia. The images he captured of us was amazing and I was very impressed with the image quality straight out of the camera. Shortly thereafter I changed my entire kit over to Fujifilm.
For the past nine years I have been very blessed to capture the special stories between couples, families, and friends. These images make me laugh and giggle, they teach me how to live life to the fullest, and to appreciate the seasons of our lives from a different perspective.
As a result, most of my clients become close friends and I’m able to document their stories through each season of their lives, from the initial couples shoot to the time they get married, the first smile of their newborn baby and the extra special events in-between.
