Cinematographer Rick Joaquim recently shot the Nandos commercial on a combination of Fujifilm X-T3 and ARRI Alexa Mini.

Rick had this to say about the experience:
“Embracing different Aspect Ratios and Formats for this TV Commercial was both fun and terrifying at the same time. I enjoyed building two camera set-ups with my Focus Puller and Grip that allowed us to frame for 16: 9, 1:1 and 9:16, and get it right in camera instead of just racking into 4K, 6K or 8K footage. All the 9:16 / portrait stuff was shot on the Fujifilm X-T3 with Canon K35 PL lenses adapted onto it to emulate a smartphone camera and social media. And then intercut with the ARRI Alexa Mini for all the 16:9 footage. They worked extremely well together and it was an amazing combo for this TV Commercial for Nandos.”
