MY FUJIFILM STORY – Angus Mackinnon
If you’re reading this post then I doubt I have to try and win you over to Fuji, in fact I shouldn’t have to do that anyway – you’ve either seen the light or its just a matter of time until you do. The photographs that follow are small selection of images that I’ve made with my X100T in the last 18 months or so that I’ve owned it for. Of course it’s renowned as a street photographer’s best friend, and it doesn’t disappoint in that aspect, but it’s also so much more. There is a reason that this camera functions as an extension of my right hand.
All of my DSLR gear was stolen shortly after acquiring the X100T and I was in no financial position to replace it, a year and a half down the line and I still haven’t. It is truly incredible what can be achieved with this tiny machine along with the WCL and TCL, I’ve shot corporate portraits, international artists on stage, covered protests and even produced large scale fine art prints from the files. It’s small enough to fit in your pocket and more than capable enough to put money in your pocket if you know how to get the most out of it. Aside from the quality of the equipment I have never been treated better by a camera company – they’re are open to suggestions, extremely helpful and on top of everything they deliver firmware updates just about as quickly as issues can be identified
